LAWN LOVE INITIATIVE

SUMMARY

Lawn Love is an Initiative that will provide lawn services for the elderly (65+ years) and special needs population in Wayne County. Businesses and citizens will be asked to Donate by in-kind donations or monetary options to our initiative. Lawn Love Services will be provided free of charge bi-weekly to clients. 

GOALS/PURPOSE

  1. Educate applicants about Carl Rogers concept of “self” of his Personality Theory

  • (self-image)
  • (self-esteem or self-worth)
  • (ideal-self)

  1. Educate applicants about disabilities and rare diseases
  2. Identify community resources that offer financial assistance for the disabled population

SERVICES OFFERED

Lawn Maintenance - Lawn maintenance includes cleaning your property and keeping it manicured throughout the year. To prepare your lawn for spring, Royal Landscapes can help you clear debris, mow your lawn regularly or clean up your yard prior to winter’s arrival. Royal Landscape’s lawn maintenance service provides the following services.

  • Pruning of Shrubs
  • weed control
  • Lawn mowing
  • Edging patio areas
  • Driveways
  • walkways
  • Spring yard cleanup
  • Fall yard cleanup

OBJECTIVE

  • Sign up 3 or more applicants within a 12 month period. This goal will begin on October 15, 2021.
  • Recruit 5 volunteers for the Lawn Love Team.
  • Raise awareness about the organization existence
  • Reduce the financial and mental burden associated with maintaining lawn service.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Must be (65+ years) or disabled
  • Must be a citizen of Wayne County
  • Must be the owner or tenant of resident

PROGRAM GUIDELINES

  • Lawn maintenance will occur twice a month at the applicant's residence. Applicants have to be present during lawn maintenance. Lawn maintenance will last no longer than two hours.
  • Services will last for twelve months?
